sig.gif (853 bytes) The Pipelines Division of Azevedo & Travassos started its activities in 1972 with the construction of a gas pipeline for COMGÁS, in Greater São Paulo.

Thereafter until today, the company has accumulated experience and technology that give it full conditions to perform a variety of jobs such as:

  • construction and assembly of gas and oil pipelines and water mains in general.
  • transportation of large rivers and lakes with directional drilling ( directional hole)
  • construction of carbon steel and polyetyleno network in the metropolitan area
  • recovery and maintenance of pipelines
  • adequacy for the use of natural gas.

From 1997 to 1999, Azevedo & Travassos participated in the assembly of gas pipeline Bolivia-Brazil, Gasbol, in several stretches.

Azevedo & Travassos has kept relationships of technological partnership with several national and foreign companies for construction. It has also developed projects in association with Penspen Limited (England).

In April 2000 the Quality Management System of Pipelines Division was assessed by ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc., and found to be in compliance with the requirements set forth by ISO 9002.

Presently, the company is working on several construction jobs for Companhia Distribuidora de Gás do Rio de Janeiro - CEG, Petróleo Brasileiro S/A - PETROBRAS, Companhia de Gás de Santa Catarina - SCGÁS and Companhia de Gás de São Paulo - COMGÁS.
